On the 6^th April, the DDFUA held its Annual General Meeting for 2011.

The 2010 Committee reflected on a great season before vacating the chair for the election of the 2011 Committee.

DDFUA President Daniel Gibbons and Secretary Joseph Oliver both stood down after four seasons in their respective roles. Both expressed their gratitude for being able to contribute to the Association’s growth during that time.

The 2011 Committee was then elected with Scott Thompson becoming the Association’s 14^th President in our 25-year history. Michael Villanti was elected as Treasurer for a fourth consecutive term and will continue to bring his knowledge to the important role. Alex Mafrici was elected as Secretary and this was strongly endorsed by all the members at the AGM. Finally, Cory Dugan was elected as Social Secretary and he will bring some great ideas to the social role.

The General/Social Committee was also expanded with a host of young members volunteering for those positions. Those new committeepersons; Jayman Tilbee, Harry Heald, Thomas Cullen, Cameron Peggs, Alex Paton and Joshua Burke will bring new vibrancy to the Association.

The members also voted on and passed a series of amendments to the Constitution that were required by the Department of Commerce.

The new-look Committee is excited about the prospect of harnessing the enthusiasm of the DDFUA’s young membership and providing them with a great social environment.
