The DDFUA geared up for finals with a big bang at Berehaven Oval on 18 August. All umpires hit the track and were raring to go with finals just around the corner. The biggest turnout of the season was seen with all umpires vying for the coveted finals appointments.

The Committee also hosted all the parents of Development Squad umpires in the inaugural Parent Thank-You Night. The parents were treated to a BBQ and drinks to thank them for their support during the season.

As the evening closed over 60 people were present to hear Steve Hills announce the appointments for the first round of finals. Congratulations to those umpires who have made the finals squad and best of luck.
