In front of 120 guests the DDFUA celebrated and recognised the achievements of its umpires at its 2010 Trophy Presentation Dinner on Friday.
Guests were treated to a scrumptious dinner and dessert while stopping to congratulate and recognise the umpires presented with an award by the DDFUA.
A photo slideshow and various videos also entertained the guests and showed them what the DDFUA had been up to in season 2010.
Experienced MC Chris Millsteed again had the guests in stitches as he returned for his fifth Trophy Presentation Dinner as host.
As the night drew to a close all attention was on the umpires that would be announced in the Grand Final team. This year an extended panel of field and emergency umpires were announced with the final selections being determined after the preliminary finals.
The 2010 Trophy Presentation Dinner also recognised the Association’s 25th anniversary and it was a case of turning the clock back and reflecting on the achievements of those years.
However, what was abundantly clear was that season 2010 was unbelievably successful for the Association as all the guests from the Demons District, junior clubs and other special invitees, stopped to recognise the umpires who were rewarded for their efforts.
