The last social event on our 2010 calendar was a trip to the movies to see the most anticipated film of the year, Inception. The film was highly talked up in the media since its release and it didn't disappoint with everybody that attended enjoying it thoroughly.
We started our evening with a small group of us entertaining in some fine dining downstairs at Nandos. Despite Daniel being the victim of some 'spillage' thanks to the over excited development squad umpires, our meals were quickly devoured and we left feeling quite satisfied.
Next was a short visit to the Leisure Island game arcade where we were joined by more of our fellow umpires. Inside the arcade Michael Villanti channeled his inner assassin and Daniel Gibbons fell victim to Scott's superior skills on the Mario Kart race track.
After the arcade fun and once our development squad umpires had equipped themselves with enough sugar to last an eternity we made our way into the movie theatre ready to be blown away by the art of Inception. However it was an advert for Johnnie Walker Whisky that stole our attention early, for about 15 minutes, and despite our young crew growing a little impatient they were responsible for starting the applause that filled the cinema once the ad was over.
