Former DDFUA umpire Brett Rosebury will umpire his second consecutive AFL Grand Final on Saturday. Rosebury, who will also notch up his 200th game, has again been entrusted with the opening bounce.
Rosebury executed a perfect first bounce in 2009 and is confident of doing it again.
“There’s a lot of pressure and expectations you put on yourself to get the ball right so both ruckmen have a fair chance,” he said. “You know how many people are watching and how many are at the ground, and the roar that goes up just as that siren goes ... it’s a real special moment.”
Rosebury will be joined on the field by Ray Chamberlain and Shaun Ryan.
