Saturday the 21st of June was the night of the now annual and popular Bowling Night at AMF Cannington. There were four lanes fighting for the win, all aiming for the bragging rights of being the top bowler. it was a night filled with laughter, competition, and for some, free beverages.
There was a rocky start for two of the groups, but after moving lanes due to faults and drinking the complimentry drinks, the ball was off and rolling again and this time into 10 large pins which brought upon strikes across all score boards.
The competition was definitely rigged though, with people like Matt Fennell, Michael Villanti and Alex Freemantle acting as helpless fish, only to be eaten alive by the two bowling sharks, Daniel Gibbons and Jeff Bassett. The two proved to be very accurate and dangerous with the ball and scoring in the high 100's in both games. Yet both were convinced that they never bowl outside of this event...yeah right.
As usual Paul ''Sheepy'' Simonsen gave out prizes for the best and fairest bowlers on the night.
All in all, it was another successful event for all who participated and a nice sequel to the Pot Black Night.
