On the 7^th April, the DDFUA held its Annual General Meeting for 2010.

A great turnout of over 30 past and present members ensured that the clubrooms at Berehaven Oval were filled to capacity.

The 2009 Committee was re-elected unopposed after a successful previous season. Daniel Gibbons will continue as President for a fourth term. Michael Villanti will continue as Treasurer for a third consecutive term. Joseph Oliver was also elected as Secretary for a fourth consecutive term. Scott Thompson joins the Committee as Social Secretary for 2010 after previously holding that position in 2007.

The General/Social Committee was also expanded with a host of young members volunteering for those positions. Those new committeepersons; Alex Mafrici, Shaun Gilbert Matt Fennell, Jayman Tilbee, Cory Dugan and Ryan Perry will bring new vibrancy to the Association.

The members also voted on and passed a series of amendments to the Constitution. These amendments enshrine in the Constitution the new administrative/coaching structures that now operate in the Association. The amendments ensure that the members retain control over what happens in the Association and the people appointed to positions in the Operations Department are held accountable.

The 2010 Committee hopes to build upon the work of previous years and see the Association expand. They will continue to be a focus on providing benefits to the members, holding more social events, and recognising an important milestone: the Association’s 25^th anniversary.

An expanded Committee will also ensure that a greater breadth of views is heard and new ideas are generated from the incoming committeepersons.  

It is sure to be another successful and exciting year for the DDFUA.
